What We Do

Empowering women is not just about giving them a voice, but also equipping them with the tools to create their own destiny. Yashasvi Mahila Samajik Sanstha is passionately dedicated to women’s empowerment. Our primary focus is to raise awareness among women about their rights and help them reach their full potential. Basically, we aim to ignite a spark within them, encouraging them to become self-reliant. To achieve this, we have initiated various training sessions on practical skills like cake baking, stitching, jewelry making, and more. Our ultimate goal is to make them financially independent contributors to their families and enable them to lead dignified lives filled with confidence and self-worth.

Give a woman the right skills, and she will empower not only herself but also her entire community. YMSS has embraced the noble responsibility of fostering financial independence among women in society. We have initiated training sessions in various handicrafts like Akashkandil-making, paper bag production, and jewelry-making. Through our collaboration with the Nehru Yuva Kendra, we provide comprehensive training units for basic and advanced beauty parlor courses. Apart from these, we offer classes in cake baking, spice making, rangoli making, and fashion designing. To provide a platform for showcasing their talents, we organize competitions across different areas of Pune. Upon successful completion of courses, we present participants with certificates that enable them to generate income effortlessly. Even during the lockdown, our dedicated members tirelessly met the demand for masks by producing and distributing them in the market.

We are also deeply concerned about the health and well-being of women. We understand that many rural and underprivileged women often neglect their health due to a lack of awareness. To address this issue, YMSS organizes camps to raise awareness about women’s health and intimate hygiene. We educate them about the importance of taking care of their health and the potential risks of ignorance. Through these camps, we also provide free sanitary napkins to ensure their access to essential menstrual hygiene products. Our aim is to empower women by equipping them with knowledge and resources to prioritize their health and well-being.

Planting trees is an investment in our planet’s future, a gift to the generations to come. In today’s world, where the number of trees is decreasing and lavish buildings and industries are on the rise, our environment faces serious threats. Trees not only enhance the beauty of our surroundings but also serve as vital carbon dioxide absorbers, releasing oxygen into the atmosphere. planting trees is a simple yet impactful way to maintain ecological balance and fight against climate change. That is why we actively organize tree plantation drives in different localities of Pune to combat environmental degradation. We also distribute saplings among the common public to encourage them to contribute towards making our environment more sustainable ad greener.

A growing child requires daily nutrients to thrive in life. But most of the unprivileged children especially who live in orphanages are often remained deprived of it. Yashasvi Mahila Samajik Sanstha understands this need and has compassionately taken the initiative to address this concern. Recently, we organized a fruit distribution program at Santulan Orphanage of Pune, where orphaned children were provided with nutritious fruits. We believe that by providing them with essential vitamins and minerals, we contribute to their overall health and well-being. Our mission behind this effort is to ensure that every child, regardless of their background, has access to the necessary nutrients for a healthy and prosperous future.

Our beloved organization Yashasvi Mahila Samajik Sanstha is committed to providing free and quality healthcare services to underprivileged and underserved communities in rural areas of our state. We understand that many people in these communities can not afford quality health services due to their weaker economic conditions. We aim to bridge this gap by providing comprehensive check-ups, tests, treatments, and referrals free of cost. We also organize health camps to raise awareness about health and the importance of keeping it free of diseases. These camps are a great opportunity to reach out to people who may not otherwise have access to healthcare. We also offer eye check-up camps, where underprivileged elderly people can receive free eye exams and glasses. We are grateful for the collaboration and support of reputed doctors and medical professionals who wholeheartedly contribute to our cause without any expectation of profit. Together, we are making a difference in the lives of many people in our state.

Yashasvi Mahila Samajik Sanstha is also dedicated to providing free education to children of widowed women. We recognize the challenges they face after the loss of their guardian, often leading to disengagement from education and involvement in negative activities. Our goal is to reignite their interest in education, enabling them to realize their worth and potential. By offering them a supportive environment and quality education, we aim to empower them to build a bright future and break the cycle of adversity. Together, we strive to uplift these children and provide them with a pathway to success.
